All books and movies will be renewed and WiFi is still available around our facility but please remember to use social distancing practices. eBooks through the Libby app and your Overdrive account are still available. Social distance, wash hands, and be safe.

Free GED Classes in Tyler County.

Enrollment for online GED test preparation classes is now open to 17-year-old and older adults who are interested in obtaining a High School Equivalency Certificate (GED).   Classes are offered via texting, phone, or email and as morning or evening instruction.  For more information,  call 409-283-8757.

Mon.--Fri.    9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Closed: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Cost:   $5.00 per adult - $2.00  Senior Citizens - $2.00 per child (14 and under)

The Allan Shivers Museum has elegant gowns of Mrs. Shivers and their daughter, authentic Victorian front parlor room with furnishings of the period, an African Safari room, and original political cartoons from Allan Shivers time in office.
