Mission Statement
The mission of the Allan Shivers Library and Museum is to provide facilities, materials, information, and services that support the diverse needs and requirements of our community in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The Allan Shivers Museum invites the public to step into the life, career, and accomplishments of Governor Allan Shivers to preserve, educate, and share his role in contributing to the history of Texas.
WE ARE HIRING
It's bittersweet news at the library this week. We are saying goodbye to a beloved member of our team who has meant so much to our staff and community. He is not dead just leaving us….He will be deeply missed, and we wish him nothing but the best in the next chapter of his journey.
That means we have a spot to fill — and we'd love for it to be someone who loves books, people, computers, helping, and community as much as we do!
We are hiring a Library Clerk!
If you enjoy helping people, keeping things organized, and being a part of something that truly matters in our community, we welcome your application for the position. Last day to receive application will be April 9th at 2pm.
Stop by the library for an application, click the image link below, or contact for more details.
